So this week has gone by so fast because and I
have been so busy! Sunday we went to Munich! It was the first time that I
used the SBon and I thought that that was really cool! Arriving in Munich and
it was jaw dropping. It was so clean and beautiful! We were only there for a
little while but in the time that we were there we saw a couple churches, the
English Garden and went to a very touristy restaurant called HofbraUhaus and I
had my first weisswurst with pretzel and a sip of beer! A taste of Oktoberfest!
J After Munich I went to an “au pair” goodbye BBQ. Even though
there weren’t other au pairs there, but my new friend Irina and me, it was
still really cool to meet other people! It made me really realize how young I
really am! Being almost 19 I was the youngest person at the party and so far
the youngest person I have met here! Anyways after the party I went home on the
train (SBon) by myself!
Monday: We went to the zoo! It was really big
and there were so many animals that we didn’t get to see them all! We went with
two other girls, and then the Au Pair that was leaving and
Irina! It was fun to be able to walk around with new friends and the kids who
seemed to be having the time of their lives with their friends and the animals!
The weather was perfect for a day at the zoo being sunny blue skies and about
80 degrees! I could not have asked for a better day!
Tuesday: We had planned to go to a swimming hole
type thing. The friends from the day before live so close that we thought we would see if
they wanted to come. We actually ended up staying at their house for the rest
of the afternoon instead of going swimming. For me this was awesome because I
got to spend some time talking to Irina. We really became good good friends and
I know that it will stay that way all the time and beyond!
Wednesday: We went to Mechenwoald. (I totally
spelled that wrong but totally not the point!) It was really cool. Sorta like a
little theme park at the same time as a place where you could listen to a bunch
of the Grimm Fairy tales. The tales were said in both German and English… even
though we only heard them in German I thought that was really great! We went
there by SBon and it took an hour and a half and then a short taxi ride. We got
there and went on a couple rides and the kids went on this Harry
Potter playground, which was totally awesome! Then after that we met up with
the other 2 Au Pairs and their girls. It was so cool to go
on all the little rides with the kids and its totally great having the time to
talk to the girls! We had so much fun and I know the kids did too. Going home I
was so exhausted and was so ready to sleep! I went home and after we ate dinner
I was given a phase of energy so my parents and I played Wii bowling! Yeah even though I am not very good it was still really fun!
Thursday: Today we didn’t do too much. Went by
with shopping and an eye appointment for the kids! Oh yeah and it rained a
little today! But I truly love the rain so no matter!!!
